Barak Granot is a bestselling author, speaker, and marketing strategist.

He’s known for moving business owners to the next level through a combination of branding and marketing.

(I was debating what to write here…

Most people write about their achievements in third person, although it’s quite obvious they wrote the material themselves, and that always amuses me.

Barak Granot did give it a try, writing some lines that correspond with bios he’s seen on 90% of websites, but then he realized this isn’t what people need, so he decided to write this page like a letter to a new friend—which, if you think about it, is what this is…

So, here are few words about me that I hope will allow you to get to know me better.)

I was born in Jerusalem, Israel, in 1970. Right now, as I’m updating my website, I just celebrated the big 5-0!

I have a wonderful wife named Kaitz, whom I love very much. We met in Israel and moved to the USA at the end of 2006.

We have three kids that are now 10, 5, and 4 years old. They’re awesome!

In 2017, we sold our house in Los Angeles and moved to a small town in West Florida called Dunedin, which is close to Tampa. So far, we love it.

What motivates me and keeps me going is my family.

I’m happy I’m doing what I love to do.

I’ve always been motivated to do my best—which, for me, means getting the best results.

Here are some other things you may be interested to know about me:

When I was a teenager, I practiced mixed martial arts and karate. By the time I was 18, I was #2 in Israel in these skills. I won this coveted title in open championships where competitors from all styles competed.

I went into the army, and, after a tough period of bootcamp, I trained as a signal core specialist. I was posted as an instructor and charged with training the army’s reserve force, which, in Israel, comprises most of the army’s soldiers.

By the time I was 20 years old, 20 soldiers served under me, and I was their direct commander (as a non-commissioned officer). That was a great experience and taught me quite a bit.

In the three years of mandatory military service, I was selected FIVE times as Exceptional Soldier for different groups—the brigade, the corps, and even the whole army.

Later, I studied Industrial and Managerial Engineering at Tel Aviv University, where I was on the Dean’s List as a top student. Later, I completed my Computer Science degree Summa Cum Laude.

I’m not telling you these things to impress you but rather to let you know that I’ve been striving for excellence for quite a long time. I want to do everything to the best of my ability.

When I came to the US and built my life from scratch, struggling as an immigrant and refusing to accept any favors from the government (healthcare, housing, unemployment or anything else), I never thought that within a few years, I’d have articles written by me on CNN and in Huffington Post and that I’d work with legends like Kevin Harrington from “Shark Tank” and the great NBA champion, “Magic” Johnson.

I’ve achieved my career goal—to work with people I want to work with.

I am passionate about helping business owner succeed. I have been doing that since 2001 when I was working in business consulting. In 2009 I switched to the marketing field, since I saw this is the area businesses struggle with most.

That worked out quite well for my clients and I am doing it ever since.

I love marketing and read a lot of marketing books as well as enroll to the best courses. My approach is different than my peers – I understand the important of positioning and building authority, which is outside of the scope of marketing.

I believe that you should so the marketing AFTER you are positioned. You can do them at the same time, building it up, but the issue is that most businesses do marketing without any thought about building positioning or authority.

I had an article by me that was published in Huffington Post and it can clarify that point. Read it here.

That’s about it. This is a page about me, which is harder for me to write. After all, what matters more is You. Your Business. Your success. And if we’re a good fit…

I hope that this gives you a bit more insight to get to know me.
