Barak Granot is a bestselling author, a speaker and a marketing strategist.
He is known for getting business owners to the next level with a combination of branding and marketing.
I was debating what to write here…
Most people just have some text written in third person that talks about their achievements, although it is quite obvious that they wrote it themselves… It always amuses me.
Barak Granot did give it a try, writing some lines that correspond with 90% of the websites, but then he realized this is not what people need, and decided to write this page like a letter to a new friend.
If you think about it – this is what it is…
So here are few words about me so you can know me better.
I was born in Jerusalem, Israel, in 1970, so at this time when I am updating my website, I am 49 years old. Getting soon to the big 50!
I have a wonderful wife named Kaitz, which I love very much. We met in Israel and moved to the USA at the end of 2006.
We have 3 kids that are now 9, 4 and 3 years old. They are awesome!
We are living in West Florida, in a small town called Dunedin (close to Tampa). Sold our house in Los Angeles in 2017 and moved to Florida and so far, we love it.
What motivates me and keeps me going is my family.
I am happy that I am doing what I love to do.
I always wanted to do the best I can and now this translates into getting the best results.
Here are some things you may be interested to know about me.
When I was a teenager, I practice mixed martial arts and Karate. By the time I was 18, I was #2 in Israel. I won it on the open championship where competitors from all styles compete for the coveted titles.
Then I went to the army, and after a tough bootcamp, I trained as a signal core specialist and was posted of an instructor, training the army’s reserve force, which is most of the army’s soldier in Israel.
By the time I was 20 years old, I had under me over 20 soldiers and I was their direct commander (as a non-commissioned officer). That was a great experience and taught me quite a bit.
In the 3 years mandatory service, I was selected FIVE times as Exceptional Soldier for different groups – the brigade, the core and even the whole army.
When I was studying Industrial and Managerial Engineering in Tel Aviv University, I was on the Dean’s List as top student and later I completed my Computer Science degree Summa Cum Laude.
I am not writing this to impress you, but rather to impress upon you that I am on the path of striving for the best for quite a long time. Everything I do I want to be done the best way.
When I came to the US and build my life from scratch, struggling as an immigrant and refusing to receive any favors from the government (in healthcare, housing, unemployment or anything else), I didn’t believe that few years later I will have articles by me on CNN and Huffington Post and that I will work with legends like Kevin Harrington from Shark Tank and NBA champion, “Magic” Johnson.
Now I can work with people I want to work with.
I am passionate about helping business owner succeed. I have been doing that since 2001 when I was working in business consulting. In 2009 I switched to the marketing field, since I saw this is the area businesses struggle with most.
That worked out quite well for my clients and I am doing it ever since.
I love marketing and read a lot of marketing books as well as enroll to the best courses. My approach is different than my peers – I understand the important of positioning and building authority, which is outside of the scope of marketing.
I believe that you should so the marketing AFTER you are positioned. You can do them at the same time, building it up, but the issue is that most businesses do marketing without any thought about building positioning or authority.
I had an article by me that was published in Huffington Post and it can clarify that point. Read it here.
That’s about it. This is a page about me, which is harder for me to write. After all, what matters more is You. Your Business. Your success. And if we’re a good fit…
I hope that this gives you a bit more insight to get to know me.
